New Contract Postal Unit Opens in Fayetteville

CHARLOTTE, NC — A new Contract Postal Unit (CPU) in Fayetteville will provide Postal Service products and services to the community.  The opening day was Wednesday, April 30, 2008.

The new contract postal outlet is located at SpeediPrint, 164 Westwood Shopping Center in Fayetteville, near the intersection of Morganton Road and Sycamore Dairy Road.

Customers can purchase stamps, mail letters and packages, and purchase nearly all mailing services—including both domestic and international—at the same prices available at Post Offices. The only services not available at the CPU are money orders, Post Office Box rentals and Global Express Guaranteed services.

Hours of operation at the new retail postal location are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00  p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
