APC Day at West Durham Post Office

Automated Postal Center offers 24-hour access

West Station Post Office, 3520 Kangaroo Drive, Durham, will hold APC Day on Wednesday, February 20 from 12 noon – 3 pm in its lobby. Highlighting the events will be the Post Office’s Automated Postal Center, which now offers customer incentives during its 24 hour availability. APCs are free-standing kiosks that accept credit and debit cards and enables customers to weigh and mail letters and parcels and purchase stamps. It also dispenses postage in any amount for Express Mail, Priority Mail, First-Class Mail, and Parcel Post services. The APC also provides mailing information, ZIP Code lookup, and Delivery Confirmation services. The event welcomes customers from all over the Triangle area. For more information, call Chris Tinkham, Durham Postmaster at (919) 321-4530.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
