Hildebran product Lisa Wright named new Postmaster

HILDEBRAN, NC — Lisa D. Wright, a 19-year postal veteran reared in Hildebran, was recently promoted to Postmaster of Hildebran. Wright replaces Crystal Cooke, who was recently promoted to Postmaster, Wilkesboro.

“I want our customers to know that service is our top priority,” says Wright. “We are looking forward to providing them with friendly, reliable and prompt delivery and professional retail service.”

Wright began her postal career in 1989 as a clerk at the Hickory Processing and Distribution Facility, before moving on to Granite Falls, where she eventually became a supervisor. She was promoted to Postmaster of Connelly Springs and served in that position for five years before being appointed to lead Hildebran Post Office.

At Hildebran, located at 511 US Highway 70, Suite D, Wright is responsible for 4 employees, covering one carrier route delivering mail to over 600 delivery points daily. The Post Office holds 1100 Post Office Boxes and is open weekdays 8:30 am – 5 pm.

“I grew up in Hildebran and am so glad to finally be able to come back to serve in this capacity,” says Wright. “The employees here are a hard working and conscientious group of people that love their community and want to provide top service to their customers.”

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation, 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
