New Contract Postal Unit Will Open In Calabash

CHARLOTTE, NC — Residents of Calabash will be served by a new Contract Postal Unit (CPU). The contract was recently awarded to Calabash Ace Hardware, located at 9030 Beach Drive in Calabash.

The new CPU will be a full service unit, offering a full line of postal products and services, including postage stamps, Express Mail® service, Priority Mail® service, special services, packaging products, and more.

The Postal Service is currently working with the contractor to build the space to meet requirements, place the proper signage and train employees. Following the necessary set up process, the CPU is projected to open in early spring.

The full service unit will offer increased convenience and access to postal services, with the following hours: Monday - Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Postal Service offers access to postal services and products nationwide through Post Offices, CPUs, Automated Postal Centers (APC) at select Post Offices and online at www.usps.com, to provide customer access 24 hours a day.
