Grand Opening of new Apex Post Office Wednesday

WHAT: Apex’s newest Post Office facility will celebrate its Grand Opening on Tuesday, November 3 at Ace Hardware on Williams Street. A ribbon cutting ceremony with top postal, community and civic leaders will commence at 11 am. It is one of 15 Contract Post Offices in the Triangle Area and the second new CPU opening in the past two weeks.

WHO: Acting Postmaster Claudia James will host the Apex Chamber of Commerce and elected officials as they introduce the new Contract Postal Unit (CPU).

BACKGROUND: The Post Office at Apex Ace Hardware provides a welcome alternative to the main Apex Post Office, offering convenient hours and daily access – Monday – Friday 8 am – 7 pm and Saturdays 8 am – 6 pm.

A full line of postal products and services are available at the new CPU including postage stamps, Express Mail service, Priority Mail service, special services, packaging products, and much more. Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
