Asheboro Postmaster named Manager of the Year

GREENSBORO, NC— Mark Altman (right), Postmaster, Asheboro, was honored as the 2009 Manager of the Year, Area B by the U.S. Postal Service, Greensboro District at a recent End-of-Year meeting. Altman, a resident of Thomasville, was recognized for his performance in workhour reduction, improved Delivery Confirmation performance, breakthrough Customer Satisfaction performance, and his efforts on district teams tasked to improve service. Greensboro District finished Fiscal Year 2009 #1 nationally (out of 75 districts) in Total Service and Overnight First-Class Delivery Performance. Altman is currently working on a district team tasked with reducing delivery routes to match the mail volume. Presenting the award to him is Margaret Fox (left), Manager, Acting Post Office Operations, Area B.
