“I Love Lucy” Show at Pleasant Hill P.O. Tuesday

WHAT: The U.S. Postal Service highlights its annual Customer Appreciation Day at Pleasant Hill Post Office with a special event celebrating the old TV show “I Love Lucy”, part of the new Early TV Memories commemorative postage stamps.

WHO: Pleasant Hill Postmaster Robin Clary will join employees and customers in dressing up as characters from the “Lucy” show, and several contests with Lucy-themed prizes will be held throughout the day.

WHEN: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 @ 10 am

TAKE NOTE: The new stamps recognize such shows as I Love Lucy; Lassie; The Lone Ranger; Texaco Star Theater; and 16 more classic shows. The stamps become available nationwide on the same day. This event is free and open to the public.
