Graham letter carrier to be honored
GRAHAM — The U.S. Postal Service and Graham Post Office will honor one of its own, city letter carrier Albert Reeder, for his recent induction into the National Safety Council’s coveted Million Mile Club, which recognizes drivers who have gone at least 30 years without a preventable motor vehicle accident. The short recognition ceremony will take place Wednesday, May 27, at the Graham Post Office, 112 S. Marshall Street, at 8:30 am.
The Million Mile Club is the highest honor given to a professional driver in the workplace by the National Safety Council, and according to the NSC, the status is to professional driving as reaching the peak of Mt. Everest is to the sport of climbing. Reeder, a Graham resident, earns this unique recognition to highlight his 30+ years of government service.
Graham Postmaster Andre Jones and Greensboro District Manager Russ Gardner will be on hand to recognize Reeder’s achievements in front of his peers Wednesday. Reeder is one of only 13 district carriers to receive this honor this year.
