Chapel Hill carrier perfect in driving and attendance

NO WORRIES — Joe Crawford, a rural letter carrier out of Chapel Hill — Timberlyne Station, was honored for accident-free driving and perfect attendance in 30 years.

CHAPEL HILL, NC — Joe Crawford, a rural letter carrier at Chapel Hill — Timberlyne Station, was recently honored for achieving two significant milestones: he was inducted into the Million Mile Club, the highest honor given by the National Safety Council, earned by professional drivers in the workplace who have traveled at least 30 years without a preventable motor vehicle accident. He was also recognized for perfect attendance during those same 30 years, having never taken one day of sick leave. Crawford, a Chapel Hill resident, was honored at a ceremony in front of his peers by Acting Postmaster Margaret Fox.
