Calvander resident earns safe driving award

CHAPEL HILL, NC — Calvander resident David Rutter, a city letter carrier at the Timberlyne Station Post Office in Chapel Hill, was recently honored for safe driving excellence in North Carolina. He was inducted into the Million Mile Club, the highest honor given by the National Safety Council. The award recognizes professional drivers in the workplace who have traveled at least 30 years without a preventable motor vehicle accident.
