SAFETY FIRST – Robert Gann, a city letter carrier in Raleigh, is presented the Million Mile Club award by Postmaster Howard Sample.

RALEIGH – Robert Gann, a city letter carrier at Raleigh North Ridge Post Office, was recently inducted into the National Safety Council’s Million Mile Club. The honor is earned by professional drivers in any workplace, private or public sector, who drives for at least 30 years on the job without a preventable motor vehicle accident. Gann, Wake Forest resident, received the award at a recent ceremony in front of his peers from Raleigh Postmaster Howard Sample and Station Manager Rita Courman. According to the NSC, the Million Mile status is to professional driving as reaching the peak of Mt. Everest is to the sport of climbing.
