Durham resident Cooper gets safety nod in Chapel Hill

ACCIDENT FREE – Ed Cooper, a Chapel Hill letter carrier, was recently honored for driving excellence.

CHAPEL HILL – Ed Cooper, a city letter carrier at Chapel Hill Main Post Office, was recently inducted into the Million Mile Club, the highest honor given by the National Safety Council to professional drivers in private and public sector companies. He earned this honor by driving at least 30 years on the job without a preventable motor vehicle accident, a milestone achieved by only 12 letter carriers in the Greensboro District. Cooper, a Durham resident, was honored at a ceremony in front of his peers by Acting Postmaster Margaret Fox and Greensboro District Manager Russ Gardner.
