Postal Service will Consolidate Leawood Branch Post Office with Indian Creek
No Address or ZIP Code Changes Necessary for Residents or P.O. Box Holders
KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The U.S. Postal Service’s Kansas City, MO-based Mid-America District announced today that beginning Wednesday, September 16, all mail delivery and retail services will be transferred from the Leawood, KS Branch Post Office, located at 3500 W. 95th St., to the Indian Creek Branch, located at 4225 W. 107th St.
There is no need for Leawood postal customers to change their address, Post Office Box number, or ZIP Code. The Indian Creek Branch is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday, and 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.
In addition to the Indian Creek Branch, postal retail services also are offered at three nearby Post Offices and two Contract Postal Units (CPUs), which include:

Changes in consumer preference and recession-related declines in mail volume have reduced Postal Service revenues. Operation of the Postal Service is paid for by postage and fees paid by its customers. The Postal Service receives no operational subsidy from taxes. Current economic conditions require that Postal Service managers review all operations for opportunities to streamline processes and provide service more efficiently.
