Easton Post Office to offer pictorial postmark

Special postmark to commemorate the annual Waterfowl Festival

EASTON, MD —The Easton Post Office will participate in the 38th Waterfowl Festival that is hosted in Easton, MD each year. The Postal Service will offer a special pictorial postmark sponsored by the Tidewater Stamp Club to commemorate the annual Waterfowl Festival on November 14 and 15, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 pm., and Sunday, November 16 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

As a community service, Postal Service offers pictorial postmarks to commemorate local events celebrated in communities throughout the nation.  Customers have 30 days to obtain the postmark.  There is no charge for the postmark. People attending the festival may obtain the postmark in person at the temporary Post Office – The Waterfowl Festival Station established at Easton High School, 723 Mecklenburg Ave.

Customers wishing to obtain a postmark by mail should affix stamps to any envelope or postcard of their choice, address the envelope or postcard to themselves or others, insert a card of postcard thickness in envelopes for sturdi­ness, and tuck in the flap. Place the envelope or postcard in a larger envelope and address it to: Waterfowl Festival Station, U.S. Postal Service, 116 E Dover St., Easton, MD 21601-9998.
