Passport Fair
BALTIMORE, MD — The Main Post Office will be having a “Passport Fair” on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 and Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Johns Hopkins Hospital, BRB Prefunction Area, 720 Rutland Avenue, Baltimore MD 21205.
New passport regulations were implemented on January 23, 2007 requiring ALL PERSONS traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean region to present a passport or other valid travel documents to enter or re-enter the United States.
Employees, their families, and friends are encouraged to apply for passports. The U.S. Postal Service has made it much more convenient for people to travel internationally by having a fair that offers this service exclusively.
Those attending the Passport Fair will need to bring the following:
- Proof of American citizenship, such as an old passport, a certified birth certificate, or a certificate of citizenship or naturalization.
- One form of photo identification: such as a driver’s license or state identification card.
- Passport Photo (Available on site for $15.00).
- Passport Application (Available on site or at http://www.usps.com/passport)
If a minor child is applying for a passport, both parents need to be present. If one parent is not available to come to the Passport Fair, the appearing parent must present evidence of having sole legal custody of the child, notarized written consent of the other parent for the issuance of the passport, or a written statement explaining why the non-applying parent’s consent cannot be obtained.
