Baltimore Postal Customer Council Spring Meeting
Network with Business Mailers and Representatives of the U.S. Postal Service
BALTIMORE, MD — The Baltimore Postal Customer Council is having their annual Spring Meeting on Friday, June 6 at Conrad’s Ruth Villa, 3301 Edwards Lane, Baltimore MD 21220. The event begins at 11:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Registration begins at 10:00 am.
This event provides a chance for businesses to meet and network with their mailing industry peers and key postal service staff in a casual setting. The attire will be business casual. Join this informative exciting event for just $55 per person, PCC Members and $65 per person, Non-PCC Members. A sumptuous buffet menu will be served.
Businesses using mail to conduct business, communicate and grow revenue will want to take this opportunity to hear first hand from Thomas Amonette, Program Manager for Business Mailer Support, USPS Headquarters, about Intelligent Mail and the future direction of the Postal Service. Intelligent Mail is the smart way for customers to do business. It’s the centerpiece of technology and includes a standardized intelligent barcode for each mail piece. As the mail travels through the postal processing network, the individual mail piece is scanned at key points. Intelligent Mail technology enables business customers to virtually “see” their mail pieces at every step.
The Postal Customer Council is a network of community-based business mailers and representatives of the U.S. Postal Service, who gather regularly to discuss and resolve local mailing issues. On both the national and local levels, Postal Customer Councils work to continually improve service and communications.
All businesses are invited to attend the PCC event. Online registrations at www.baltimorepcc.com. For more information, contact Yvette Singh at (410) 347-4493. More details on PCC’s can be found at www.usps.com/nationalpcc.
Staying relevant in a rapidly changing business environment is key to the future success of the Postal Service. Leveraging the accessibility and convenience of the Internet is one of the ways the Postal Service is achieving this goal. Successful partnerships with internet-based companies, like eBay and Netflix and the alternate access that usps.com provides, help make the Postal Service more viable. Paying for postage through Click-N-Ship and scheduling a free Package Pickup are two ways the Postal is making services quick, easy and convenient.
