STARS AND STRIPES CELEBRATION

BALTIMORE, MD — Recently the Baltimore Post Office gave Old Glory plenty of attention. It honored Flag Day with an unveiling of the recently reissued American Flag stamp from Baltimore’ Fort McHenry, the birthplace of America’s National Anthem. A special pictorial cancellation celebrating both Flag Day and the 28th anniversary of the Annual National Pause for the Pledge of Allegiance is also available.

To receive the free postmark, mail requests to Flag Day Station, Manager, Main Office Window Services, USPS, 900 E Fayette Street, Baltimore, MD 21233-9715. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return. Mail order requests must be postmarked no later than July 14.
