North Reading man retiring from USPS with 31 years of service to U.S. Government

FRED L. GOWEN III, right, of North Reading, an Express Mail technician for the Massachusetts Postal District, was presented with a retirement certificate and during a recognition ceremony Friday, Dec. 19, in the District Office, North Reading. He is retiring on Jan. 2, after serving the U.S. Government for 31 years. Massachusetts District Manager John W. “Mike” Powers III made the presentation, saying: “The good reputation enjoyed by the Postal Service is based upon the loyal service of persons like yourself, and I am proud to commend you for your contributions.
