East Longmeadow Post Office earns 5-Star Customer Service Gold award

EAST LONGMEADOW POST OFFICE was one of six Post Offices in the Massachusetts Postal District to earn the U.S. Postal Service’s Gold 5-Star Customer Service award for exemplary customer service over a three-year period ending Sept. 30. District Manager John W. “Mike” Powers III, left, presented Postmaster Mark C. Edstrom with a trophy topped with a gold star for the office in recognition of the achievement. The Gallup Organization surveys USPS customers, asking them to rate local Post Offices on clerk efficiency, accuracy of delivery, consistency of delivery and wait-time-in-line. East Longmeadow Post Office achieved its target score in “excellent” ratings in 12 consecutive quarters to gain the accolade. Other Gold 5-Star winners were Billerica, Concord, Great Barrington, Wakefield and Williamstown Post Offices.
