Billerica Post Office earns 5-Star Customer Service Gold award

BILLERICA POST OFFICE was one of six Post Offices in the Massachusetts Postal District to earn the U.S. Postal Service’s Gold 5-Star Customer Service award for exemplary customer service over a three-year period ending Sept. 30. District Manager John W. “Mike” Powers III, right, presented Postmaster Robert M. Parlee with a trophy topped with a gold star for the office in recognition of the achievement. The Gallup Organization surveys USPS customers, asking them to rate local Post Offices on clerk efficiency, accuracy of delivery, consistency of delivery and wait-time-in-line. Billerica Post Office achieved its target score in “excellent” ratings in 12 consecutive quarters to gain the accolade. Other Gold 5-Star winners were Concord, East Longmeadow, Great Barrington, Wakefield and Williamstown Post Offices.
