Pamela Dickey to be installed Lenox Dale postmaster

LENOX DALE—Pamela Dickey will be installed postmaster of Lenox Dale Post Office on Friday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. at Lenox Dale Post Office, 42 Crystal St.       

Massachusetts Postal District Manager John W. “Mike” Powers III will administer the oath of office while the new postmaster’s daughter, Kayla Straight, holds the Bible.

Patricia Clayton, financial control and support analyst for the Massachusetts Postal District, will be master of ceremonies.

State Sen. Benjamin B. Downing, State Rep. William “Smitty” Pignatelli, and Theresa T. Bruso, manager of Post Office operations for western Massachusetts, will speak.

Dickey began her postal career in 1981 as a substitute rural carrier in Fort Covington, N.Y. She transferred over as a clerk in Fort Covington in 1984. In 1995 she became a clerk in the Plattsburg, N.Y., Mail Processing Facility and two years later transferred to Pittsfield Post Office as a clerk.

She served on details as officer in charge of South Lee and Lenox Dale Post Offices before being named Lenox Dale postmaster in June.

As the installation head of Lenox Dale, she he manages a facility that employs two persons collecting, processing and delivering mail to nearly approximately 325 Post Office boxes.

She served three years in the U.S. Army Reserves and three years in the New York State Army National Guard.

She has an associate’s degree in criminal justice from North Country Community College, Saranac Lake, N.Y.

She is a member of the volunteer Canaan, N.Y., Fire Protection Co.

She lives in Canaan with her husband, James Dickey, and daughter, Kayla. She also has a son, Nicholas Latreille, Albany, N.Y.
