Grand Opening Set For Postal Facility
New Location Offers More Parking, Post Office Boxes
UTICA, KY —Although the official Post Office grand opening won’t be held until Oct. 31, Utica Postmaster Paul Embry is inviting residents to stop by and check out the new facility located at 10734 Highway 431.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer the residents of Utica this beautiful new facility,” said Embry. “The new location boasts 2,500-square feet of space — more than double the size of our previous site — which will allow us to service the community well.”
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31st. Daviess County Judge Executive Reid Haire, county commissioners Bruce Kunze, Jim Lambert and Mike Riney, and postal officials will be on hand for the celebration.
Besides the additional parking, the new Post Office has increased its number of Post Office Boxes and parcel lockers for customers to pick up packages at their convenience. The new Post Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and Saturday 8 to 10 a.m. The Post Office Box lobby is open 24 hours.
“I’m confident our customers will be pleased with our new location and all its amenities, especially the added parking,” he added. “We have a lot to celebrate so please join us on Oct. 31st at the ribbon cutting ceremony.”
