Danville Postal Unit Open For Business
Ribbon Cutting and Open House Set for October
DANVILLE, KY —Residents in Danville now have more choices when it comes to fulfilling their postal needs. And the city is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the opening of a contract postal unit (CPU).
A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house will be held at noon Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Mark’s Hallmark, 204 Skywatch Drive. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend.
“The CPU will provide a full range of postal services at Post Office prices with the exception of money orders,” said Danville Postmaster, Diane Evans. “The Mark’s Hallmark location is another way we’re extending our services and making it more convenient to do business with us.”
Mark’s Hallmark owner, Charles Westenhofer, will join Evans, along with other local dignitaries, to dedicate the new facility. Westenhofer and his employees are excited about partnering with the Postal Service. They are strategically located in a busy area of town.
The Mark’s Hallmark CPU will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, beginning Oct. 8, 2008 at noon. This location will also serve as a collection point for prepaid packages.
Evans and her staff at the Danville Post Office invite customers to attend the open house to learn more about the services offered at this new location.
