Grand Opening Set for Postal Retail Facility

New Location Offers More Parking, Post Office Boxes

BARDSTOWN, KY —Starting  Tuesday Oct. 14th, customers will no longer make any transactions at the current  Post office location of 205 W Stephen Foster Ave.  The current office will be used as a carrier annex only.  All customer transactions will take place at the new Retail Facility located at 510 W Stephen Foster Avenue.  There will be a ribbon cutting grand opening ceremony October 21st.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer the residents of Bardstown this beautiful new facility,” said Beasley. “We’ve grown from three routes to 20 so we’ve obviously outgrown the space in our existing building.”

“I’m confident our customers will be pleased with our new location and all its amenities, especially the larger parking lot with handicap parking spaces next to the entrance,” she added.

The new facility has two retail windows, has increased its number of Post Office Boxes and now offers secure parcel lockers for customers to pick up packages at their convenience. The new Post Office retail window hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 to 11:30 a.m. The Post Office Box lobby is open 24 hours.

“The entire community is invited to the ribbon-cutting and a tour of the Post Office,” said Beasley. “We have a lot to celebrate.” More information will be provided about the Ribbon Cutting ceremony.
