Postal Service Extends Hours on Tax Day
Main Post Office to Stay Open Until Midnight
LOUISVILLE, KY – Time is running out for taxpayers who haven’t filed their 2007 federal or state income taxes. But have no fear — the Postal Service is here.
Several Post Offices in the Louisville area will have extended retail hours on Tuesday, April 15, to accommodate last-minute tax filers.
The Louisville Main Post Office, 1420 Gardiner Lane, and Standiford Post Office (aka Airport Mail Facility), 4440 Crittenden Drive, will be open until midnight.
The St. Matthews Post Office, 4600 Shelbyville Road, will be open until 10 p.m., and the New Albany Post Office, 145 E. Elm St., will be open until 6:30 p.m.
All other postal stations and branches will maintain their regular business hours.
