Post Offices Close in Observance of Columbus Day
LOUISVILLE, KY—Most Louisville-area Post Offices will be closed Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, to celebrate Christopher Columbus’ discovery of America.
The one exception: Standiford Station, 4441 Crittenden Drive, will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be no regular mail delivery with the exception of Express Mail. Caller Service at the Main Post Office, 1420 Gardiner Lane, will be available. The Bulk Mail Unit at Standiford Station will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Customers can log onto www.usps.com for their mailing needs 24 hours a day or call 1-800-ASK-USPS for any information or concerns.
All Post Offices will be open and regular mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
