Get it there by Christmas
Last minute shoppers can still get cards, letters and gifts delivered by Dec. 25
NAME OF TOWN, IN —Last minute shoppers who missed the Dec. 20 deadline for First Class and Priority Mail delivery by Christmas still have one option available to get items delivered through the U.S. Postal Service by Dec. 25.
“Only Santa and the Postal Service will cheerfully deliver those last-minute, must-haves cards, Christmas letters and packages to family, friends and acquaintances,” said Al Eakle, a spokesman for the Greater Indiana District of the U.S. Postal Service. “The Postal Service offers the option of Express Mail delivery on Christmas for an additional $12.50.”
Express Mail items need to be dropped off or picked up by Tuesday, Dec. 23, for delivery by Christmas Day.
“Express Mail customers also get free insurance for up to $100 against loss or damage,” Eakle said. “We even provide signature proof of delivery plus tracking information.”
Postal Service packaging is environmentally friendly and free.
Customers can even purchase postage and mail packages from home while taking advantage of an online discount by going to www. USPS.com to schedule a free pick up.
“If you give it to us,” Eakle said, “we’ll get it there.”
