STENDAL, IN-- The Stendal Post Office will sponsor a pictorial postmark available Saturday, Aug. 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Central Time) honoring the 35th annual Zoar Mosquito Fest. The postmark will be available at the Zoar United Methodist Church, located east of Stendal and west of state road 161 on old State Road 64.

"The Postal Service offers pictorial postmark cancellations to commemorate local events celebrated in communities throughout the nation," said Stendal Postmaster Amanda Potts. "People attending this event may obtain the cancellation in person."

The Postal Service will have a variety of stamps, envelopes and postal merchandise on sale for postmarking.

For those who cannot attend the event, but wish to obtain the cancellation, they may submit a mail order request. Pictorial cancellations are available only for the date indicated, and requests must be postmarked no later than 30 days following the requested pictorial cancellation date.
