Local Post Office offers Stamps by Fax service

For Crown Point residents

CROWN POINT, IN — Customers asked for it and the Crown Point Post Office delivers. People who need postage and wish to save a trip to the local Post Office can now order Stamps by Fax and have them delivered to their home or office the next business day.

“We’re offering this service as a convenience to our customers,” said Genesis Jones, supervisor of customer services at the Crown Point Post Office.  “Our fax line is open 24 hours, making this service quick, easy and convenient to our customers.”

Items available through the service include 17- and 41 cent stamps, post cards, Priority and Express Mail stamps, and the new Forever stamps.

“Customers must place a minimum $25 order to use the service, “ Jones said.

Order forms are available by either calling the Crown Point Post Office at (219) 663-1510 or visiting them at 128 S. East Street.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation, 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
