Notes:
The CHICAGOPEX STAMP convention is open November 21 through November 23.  The show hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free and the public is welcome. 

CHICAGOPEX features dealers, exhibitors and stamp enthusiasts from round the nation and the world.  It is the largest stamp show in Illinois.  The show features Youth Exhibits, 337-Frame Exhibits, and philatelic dealers showcasing many rare stamps and stamp stationery.  The convention theme for 2008 is “Enjoy Scandinavian Culture.”

As a community service, the Postal Service offers pictorial postmark cancellations to commemorate local events celebrated in communities throughout the nation.  People attending these local events may obtain the cancellation in person.  Those who cannot attend the event, but who wish to obtain the cancellation, may submit a mail order request.  Pictorial cancellations are available only for the dates indicated, and requests must be postmarked no later than 30 days following the requested pictorial cancellation date.
