Special Cancellation Commemorates Swedish Days

Note:
First 50 people will receive a free postcard of Geneva with a Swedish Days postmark.  Visitors can also stop by the Post Office and have postal representatives stamp: (1) the “official” 2008 Swedish Days Brochure, (2) a Geneva Chamber mailing envelope, or (3) bring their own envelope or postcard to be postmarked. Postmark cancellations are free, but must be applied to a stamp at the current rate of postage or higher.

As a community service, the Postal Service offers pictorial postmark cancellations to commemorate local events celebrated in communities throughout the nation. People attending these local events may obtain the cancellation in person. Those who cannot attend the event, but who wish to obtain the cancellation, may submit a mail order request. Pictorial cancellations are available only for the dates indicated, and requests must be postmarked no later than 30 days following the requested pictorial cancellation date.
