Chicago District Promotes Daniel P. Davis to Customer Service Operations Manager
CHICAGO, IL — The Chicago District of the U.S. Postal Service is pleased to announce the promotion of Daniel P. Davis to Customer Service Operations Manager, effective February 2, 2008.
Davis is responsible for overseeing all customer service operations, including delivery and retail services, at the Graceland, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Northtown, Uptown and Rogers Park stations. More than 670 employees work at these stations, serving more than 220,000 customers.
Davis came to Chicago as an acting customer services operations manager in March 2007.
Davis began his Postal Service career as a letter carrier in 1997 in Rochester, NY. He graduated the Postal Service’s Associate Supervisor Program in 1998, and was promoted to Postmaster of Caledonia, NY in 2002.
Davis received an associate’s degree from Tidewater Community College, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the State University of New York, Brockport. He is a member of the Native American/Alaskan Native Association, and attained all the enlisted ranks meritoriously up to Staff Sergeant and was meritoriously commissioned as an officer of the U.S. marine Corps. He and his wife have one child.
