Henry McGee Station to Celebrate Black History Month February 28

Community invited to African-American Cultural Celebration

What:
The Henry McGee Station marks Black History Month with an open house and cultural celebration.

Who:
Goodwill Health Service
Step in the Name of Love – steppers troupe
Sacred Movement – praise dancers
West African drummers

When:
Thursday, February 28, 2008, 10 am – 6 pm

Henry McGee Station

Background:
The staff of the Henry McGee Station will welcome the community to a cultural celebration in honor of Black History Month. The day’s activities will include:

  • Free health screenings (10 am – noon)
  • Tours of the workroom floor for children (4 -4:30 pm)
  • Step in the Name of Love steppers’ performance (4-5 pm)
  • Sacred Movement praise dancers performance (5-6 pm)

In addition, Postal representatives will demonstrate online features available at usps.com and shipping options and solutions for small businesses.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day. The event is free and open to the public.
