Chicago District to hold community meeting to discuss possible redevelopment of Fort Dearborn site

CHICAGO, IL — The U.S. Postal Service will hold a public meeting to discuss the proposed redevelopment of the site occupied by the Fort Dearborn Station, and proposals for relocation of the station.

The meeting will take place Wednesday, January 30 at 6 p.m. at the station, 540 N. Dearborn Street, on the second floor. All interested community members are invited to attend.

The U.S. Postal Service is exploring available options for leveraging the value of the property occupied by the Fort Dearborn Station. A successful project would allow the Postal Service to improve its service to the current Fort Dearborn customers.
