Make Your Way to “The Blue Café”
Visit the Post Office During USPS.com Week— The Coffee Is On Us!
CHICAGO, IL — It isn’t every day that the Post Office doubles as an Internet café, but that’s exactly what customers will find from March 23 to March 27 during USPS.com Week.
Coffee and biscotti will be served at Chicago’s Main Post Office, 433 W. Harrison St., as customers learn how easy it is for them to do business with the Postal Service at “The Blue Café — Featuring USPS.com!” With a computer and Internet access to USPS.com, customers have their very own Post Office right in the home or office — one that’s open 24/7. Almost as many services offered at the local Post Office are offered on USPS.com.
“We’ll help you learn how easy and economical it is to use USPS.com to ship packages, order free eco-friendly Priority Mail and Express Mail shipping supplies, print and pay for shipping labels, and request free Carrier Pickup — all by using your computer,” saidCommunications Specialist Mikal Sutherlin.
Employees will be on hand to give customers hands-on demonstrations of USPS.com on Post Office computers, or on their own laptops as long as they have their own connection to the Internet.
Customers will enjoy this unique postal experience even more when they discover how using USPS.com can help them save money.
“The Postal Service is the most economical way to ship packages,” Sutherlin said. “When you use Click-N-Ship online at USPS.com, you receive free Delivery Confirmation and shipping discounts — up to 11 percent off the price you’d pay if you visited the Post Office. And remember, the Postal Service doesn’t add fuel surcharges or other hidden fees, like residential delivery or Saturday delivery. It’s a real value for your money.”
“The Blue Café — Featuring USPS.com!” opens at 10 a.m. March 23, and will operate from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout USPS.com Week. Follow live updates from “The Blue Café — Featuring USPS.com!” at twitter.com/mjsutherlin.
