Main Office and Borah Station Post Offices Awarded Silver Star Customer Service Award

Boise, Idaho — In recognition of continually providing stellar customer service,  the Main Office and Borah Station Post Offices which serve the 83702 zipcode, recently earned the Silver Level as part of the Postal Service’s 5 Star Customer Service Program.

Under the program, the Silver Level is awarded those offices which have a sustained record of eight consecutive quarters of top scoring customer service rankings. Of the nation’s nearly 37,000 Post Offices, only 14 won the second-quarter Silver Level. And only five offices in the Spokane District, which is comprised of the state of Idaho and eastern Washington, achieved this customer service recognition.

“We are so honored to receive this award,” said Boise Postmaster, Dan Frasier.  “We continually strive to provide excellent service to our customers. This Silver Star Award shows that we’re succeeding.”

Ratings for the award are based on surveys by The Gallup Organization, which asks USPS customers to rate local Post Offices on efficiency, accuracy of delivery, consistency of delivery, and wait-time-in-line.

Customers entering the Main Office and Borah Station Post Office will know about the Silver Star rating, as each office earning Silver Star status received a plaque for its door and all employees are sporting Silver Star lapel pins in recognition of the rating.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
