Dan L. Frasier Named 26th Boise Postmaster
BOISE, ID — Dan L. Frasier was named Postmaster of Boise, ID, effective September 1. As postmaster, Frasier is responsible for all mail delivery, customer service and retail operations in Boise.
Frasier is Boise’s 26th postmaster. He replaces John Ballard, who became postmaster of Gresham, Oregon, in February of 2007. Frasier’s official installation ceremony occurred Oct. 2 at the Train Depot in Boise.
“It takes individual commitment and solid teamwork from all levels of the organization to get the mail delivered,” said Frasier. “The employees of the United States Postal Service here in Boise are all committed to ensuring we give the best service available to the people of this community.”
Frasier began his postal career in 1978 as a letter sorting machine clerk at the Boise Main Office, later working as a letter carrier. He was then promoted to Supervisor of Delivery. Frasier also worked in various supervisory positions and Officer In Charge detail assignments. He served as the Postmaster of Burley, ID, beginning in 1999 for a five-year period. Since that time, Frasier has also worked as Manager of Post Office Operations over Colorado and Wyoming. Immediately preceding his appointment as Boise Postmaster, Frasier served as the Manager, Post Office Operations in the Spokane District.
“The secret to the success throughout my career is being surrounded by postal employees who share the same vision as I do, and that is to provide the best service we can to our customers. It is a team I am proud to be a part of,” said Frasier.
Married for 13 years Frasier and his wife Brenda have four children and reside in Star.
