Postal Service to Resume Collection of Mail in Waterloo, Cedar Falls

Daily Collections Back on Schedule Beginning Monday, June 16 Where Safe

Waterloo, Iowa — Waterloo Postmaster Greg Barnes announced that letter carriers in Waterloo and Cedar Falls will begin collecting letter mail from the communities' familiar blue collection boxes beginning Monday, June 16. “We'll resume our normal letter mail collections where it is safe to do so,” said Barnes.

The Postal Service had suspended letter mail collections on Thursday, June 12 in the wake of the severe flooding in central and eastern Iowa.
