U.S. Postal Service Building Dedication Ceremony Hinesville, GA

Who:
US Congressman Jack Kingston & the U.S. Postal Service

What:
Dedication ceremony to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 744 W Oglethorpe Hwy as the “John Sidney ‘Sid’ Flowers Post Office Building.”  Attendees include Congressman Jack Kingston, family and colleagues of Mr. Flowers, various postal representatives, and prominent community members.

When:
Monday, March 31, 2008, 11:00 A.M.

Where:
Liberty County Courthouse, Courtroom A
100 North Main Street
Hinesville, Georgia

Why:
On December 26, 2007, legislation to designate the Post Office building in Hinesville, Georgia, as the John Sidney ‘Sid’ Flowers Post Office was signed into public law by the President of the United States.  Congressman Jack Kingston introduced this legislation into the House of Representatives.

Other:
Reception with the family immediately following. 
“John Sidney Flowers Station” Special Pictorial Cancellation will be available on March 31, 2008 for 30 days.
