NNJ Postal Officials Suggest Using 24/7 APCs For Tax Night

“Tax Night” Alternatives to Tampa Airport Post Office

Tampa – On “Tax Night” Tuesday April 15, Skip the road construction around the Tampa International Airport and drop off your tax return at one of six Tampa Post Offices offering late drop off.

Customers may drop mail in any of these postal collections boxes up until 9:00 pm to receive the April 15th postmark. (New Tampa Station will also have retail window service open until 9:00p.m.):

New Tampa Station

Retail open and mail collection until 9:00 p.m.
Carrollwood Branch;

Mail collected at outside boxes until 9:00 pm
Forest Hills Station

Temple Terrace Station

Mail collected at outside boxes until 9:00 pm

In addition, the Cross Creek CPU, 10865 Cross Creek Blvd, will remain open with full services until 9:00 p.m. Mail dropped at this location by 9:00p.m. will also receive the April 15 postmark.

“We are offering these late collection times at the facilities listed above to take pressure off of the Tampa Airport Post office facility which is always open until midnight, “explains Tampa Postmaster Nancy Fryrear. “Traffic congestion has blocked the Airport entrance in past years and with all of the construction, traffic on “Tax Night” will be a challenge.  We hope that our customers will take advantage of these convenient alternatives.”

Customers are cautioned to check the collection times posted on mailboxes at any other locations to make certain that there is a collection scheduled later that day.   If no collection is scheduled, the mail will be picked up the next business day and will receive an April 16th postmark.
