Atlantic Branch Post Office Hosts Health Fair

Pompano Beach, FL — “Let us help you maintain good health through prevention” is the message the U.S. Postal Service and several local health organizations are sending to the South Florida community.

On Saturday, October 20, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, there will be a Health Fair at the Atlantic Branch Post Office, 8801 West Atlantic Blvd in Coral Springs.

Sponsors include the Florida Breast Cancer Resource Network, Broward County Main Library, Breast & Cervical Cancer Initiative, Broward County Health Department, and Outreach Broward Health.

Most testing, including cholesterol and blood pressure, will be available at no cost. A mammography for women ages 35 and older will cost $58.00 (free to women who qualify).

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation, 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars.
