First Day Of Sale Postmarks Offered For Cape Coral,
Fort Myers and Naples, Florida

Early TV Memories postage stamps

Local Postmasters are offering a unique opportunity to obtain a collectible first day of sale postmark for the Early TV Memories postage stamps that will be issued on Tuesday, August 11th. The pane of twenty stamps features shows from TV’s golden age such as I Love Lucy, Lassie, The Red Skelton Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Honeymooners and more. Each show has its own individual postage stamp. These stamps will be available for purchase for a limited time only.

To obtain a first day of sale postmark for one or all of the three cities, visit the Cape Coral Central Post Office at 1030 SE 9th Ave, Cape Coral from 10:00 a.m. to noon or Naples Main Post Office at 1200 Goodlette Rd N, Naples from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 11th. A special cachet envelope featuring the artwork included in this press release will be available for purchase. The unique postmark can be applied to any stationery item as well as the specially designed cachet envelope that will be available to purchase for $1.

A mail in opportunity for the postmarks is also being offered. Mail your stamped stationery item by November 1, 2009 to: Customer Relations, USPS, 79 Mid Cape Ter, Ste. 8, Cape Coral, Fl 33991. Specify the city you would like the postmark for and include a self addressed stamped envelope for the return of your collectible. To request the postmark on our specially designed Early TV Memories cachet envelope include $1.00 with the stamp of your choice. We will affix the postage stamp to the cachet envelope and postmark it for you. These envelopes make a great gift for seniors, stamp collectors and just about anyone!

Early TV Memories postage stamps will be available for purchase online from www.usps.com, by calling 1-800-STAMP-24 or visiting your local Post Office.
