Postal Mobile Van Returns to Port St Lucie Wal-Mart

Pembroke Pines FL — The U.S. Postal Service’s mobile van has returned to the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store located at 1850 S.W. Gatlin Blvd in Port St Lucie.

Two weeks ago, Wal-Mart officials had asked the U.S. Postal Service to remove its mobile van as part of a clean up effort. But several Wal-Mart customers complained to store officials who quickly realized the importance of postal presence to the local community. The van was invited to return a week following its sudden departure.

The mobile van, which operates Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, provides the same services as a regular Post Office. It is a convenience to customers who otherwise would have to travel farther to other Post Offices.
