National Postal Customer Council Day Set for Sept. 17
WASHINGTON, DC — An anticipated 14,000 people will join the U.S. Postal Service and Postmaster General John E. Potter in celebrating “America’s Partnership” on Sept. 17 beginning noon ET.
Potter will deliver a national satellite broadcast to customers and partners across the country, emphasizing the important role of Postal Customer Councils (PCCs) in helping businesses succeed using the mail.
Located nationwide with more than 100,000 members, PCCs are partnerships between businesses interested in mailing industry issues and postal managers. Through education, involvement in the most pressing issues facing the mailing industry and an active dialogue with Postal Service leaders, PCCs are enhancing the value of mail and supporting the growth of the mailing industry.
Potter will speak live via satellite from St. Louis, Missouri, home of the Greater St. Louis Postal Customer Council, which was the 2007 National PCC of the Year. Other senior Postal Service executives will participate in concurrent events held at more than 150 sites across the country. National PCC Day is designed to share the most current information about the value of mail and challenges facing the mailing industry and provide business networking opportunities.
The Washington Metropolitan PCC (WMPCC) National PCC Day Event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Westlake Post Office located at 10421 Motor City Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817-9996.
