Click-N-Ship, Shipping Out
New Britain military support group requests special pickup by Postal Service on Friday
New Britain — Throughout the season, postal employees will encourage Connecticut mailers to take advantage of the online postage program, Click-N-Ship, and a request for a free carrier-pickup by using the website www.usps.com.
On Friday, December 5, the New Britain Post Office will send three postal trucks to claim a supersized Click-N-Ship being sent by Marjorie and Craig Hackett-Wallace, of 103 Elbridge Road, in New Britain.
The 3 pm pickup will include more than 200 boxes, prepared by the Devil Dog Advocates, for active duty service personnel stationed overseas.
According to Postmaster Michael Parent, who is facilitating the package pickup for the New Britain Post Office, the family and volunteers welcome media coverage of the event, in part, to thank the many area residents who supported the collection and mailing for this holiday.
