Save forever on postage price increases with Forever Stamps

Colorado, Wyoming & Montana buying lots of Forever stamps — 750,000 a day

 Image of Forver stampDENVER, CO — On Monday, May 12, 2008, new U.S. and International postage prices will go into effect. The cost to mail a U.S. First Class one-ounce letter will increase a penny, from 41 to 42 cents.

With the Forever Stamp, you save on all future one ounce First Class letter postage increases. The Forever Stamp, which shows the Liberty Bell image, is good forever.

The Forever Stamp is proving to be hugely popular with Americans nationwide, especially as they purchase them before the upcoming May 12 postage price change..

To date, more than 6 billion Forever Stamps have been sold nationwide. Americans are buying them at a rate of 60 million Forever stamps a day. The stamp’s popularity includes the Rocky Mountain states.

Colorado and Wyoming residents have been buying Forever Stamps at a rate of 546,000 stamps a day for the last month. Montanans are buying them at a rate of 204,000 stamps a day.

The 41-cent Forever Stamps are available at Post Offices in booklets of 20 for $8.20 and in sheets of 18 stamps priced at $7.38 per sheet at self-serve Automated Postal Center machines in larger Post Office lobbies. When prices change May 12, the Forever Stamp will be priced at 42-cents each until the next rate change. So customers can save significantly by buying Forever Stamps now as they remain good forever at the price they are purchased at — despite any future price increases.
