Many Post Offices offer convenient PO Boxes for mail delivery

DENVER, CO — Post Office Boxes can provide customers and businesses with affordable, convenient and secure mail delivery at your local Post Office.

Many Post Offices nationwide are now offering PO Boxes for rent, including Post Offices in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

If you’re interested in renting a Post Office Box at your local Post Office, or at a Post Office close to your home or business, you can check availability by going online at usps.com/poboxes.

Interested customers should first log on to usps.com/poboxes and click on “Locate a Post Office Box” on the right-hand side of the page. Boxes at Post Office locations near you can be found by inserting your ZIP Code or street address. One more click will list PO Box lobby hours.

Customers can find out about PO Box availability, sizes and fees, as well as addresses, phone and fax numbers for each Post Office listed.

Five Post Office Box sizes are offered. Fees are based on a six-month term and determined by box size. Many Post Office Box lobbies have extended hours and are accessible 24 hours a day.

PO Boxes are as secure as mailboxes but provide more flexibility for mail pickup. The convenience of morning PO Box mail delivery is helpful to small business owners. PO Boxes also provide home-based businesses with the ability to separate business and personal mail.

Customers visiting Post Offices will see blue display tags in PO Box lobbies identifying boxes available for rent. Questions can be answered by a Post Office retail associate.
