Millbrae Post Office Goes Automated

Self-Serve Kiosk Makes Transactions Quick And Easy

MILLBRAE, CA — The Millbrae Post Office, 501 Broadway, and Millbrae City Mayor Gina Papan want postal customers to get acquainted with the new, customer-friendly Automated Postal Center (APC). Papan and postal officials will be on hand to demonstrate the ease of use of the APC at a Grand Opening Celebration on Tuesday, August 19, at 10:00 a.m.

Customers are discovering the quick and easy, self-service method to handle their postal transactions by using the APC, a self-service kiosk that lets customers transact postal business and offers an alternative to standing in line at the retail counter. The APC is an ideal option during busy periods, and it is just one of the many ways the Postal Service provides alternative services to customers.

The APC gives customers the option to step out of line and make their own transactions. This saves them valuable time in a quick, easy and efficient manner.

Customers can weigh and mail letters and parcels and purchase stamps at the touch of a screen, and the use of debit and credit cards make all transactions effortless.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
