Erica B. Hope Selected as the New Needles Postmaster
Will be sworn in on August 20 at 1 p.m.
SAN DIEGO—San Diego District Manager John E. Platt and Post Office Operations Manager (A) Lisa Baldwin selected Erica Hope as the new postmaster of Needles.
She will be sworn in as postmaster at a ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 at 1 p.m. at the Needles Post Office, 628 Third Street. She replaces former postmaster Mark Lemke who retired.
Hope began working for the Postal Service as a letter carrier in Blythe in 2000. In 2003, she transferred to the La Quinta Post Office where she worked as supervisor. She was also a supervisor at the Indio Post Office.
Hope has an impressive list of temporary assignments in supervision at Blythe and La Quinta. She worked on two officer-in-charge assignments in Mecca and most recently in La Quinta.
She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
The Needles Post Office has 4 city carrier routes that make 3,038 possible deliveries. There are 1,930 P.O. Boxes and 10 employees.
