Lee Hoskins To Be Sworn In As The Ceres Postmaster
Ceres, CA — Lee Hoskins will be sworn in as the new Ceres Postmaster on Friday, July 25, 2008, 3:00p.m., at the Ceres Post Office, 2801 Mitchell Road.
Hoskins, 46, began his career with the United States Postal Service in 1986 as a clerk at the Merced Post Office. In 1992, Hoskins was promoted to supervisor, and in 2002 he became the Sonora Postmaster. Prior to becoming the Ceres Postmaster, Hoskins served as Office-in-Charge at the Waterford, Turlock, Modesto and Lodi Post Offices.
“I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in the Postal Service, along with a huge responsibility to make certain I provide my employees with a good and safe place to work,” said Hoskins. “I view the Post Office as a business, being fiscally responsible while providing the best customer service and products at an affordable price.”
Hoskins and wife Linda reside in Merced and have two sons, Raymond and Alex, and two grandchildren. When not at work, Hoskins enjoys fishing, running and staying physically fit.
As Ceres Postmaster, Hoskins oversees 42 employees and the daily operations of 11city routes and eight rural routes, delivering an average daily volume of 32,786 mail pieces to 13,677 residential and business addresses and 2,044 Post Office boxes, serving a Ceres population of 42,000.
Manager, Post Office Operations Bobbi Riley will administer the oath of office.
